Disappointment
Things that disappoint
with complex timing and expected results
in situations groped out clumsily with closed eyes
and I tried
( but perhaps not enough)
like mapping an abyss from the crest of a wave
guessing at things
that have been set in stone
since time remembered to put them there
(and has since forgotten)
Such mysteries as the heavens have no name for
that sit at the edge of a highway and mock passers by.
